Me and Coffee

Coffee helps me enjoy my morning.  I am not sure why, but I have been enjoying plain coffee lately, from the gas station.  I just look around and sit back and sip.  I enjoy it.

How did I come to enjoy coffee?

I do not have any pictures of that time.  But it all began onboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63).  I can remember being in the space, and pouring my first true cup of coffee.  I did not even put sugar in it.  It was hot.  To hot perhaps.  I just sipped on the coffee.  I did not even know the rules of the coffee pot at the time.  Of course, these were the Navy rules.  For all I knew, I was not supposed to be drinking coffee.  But the ship's crew allowed me to have a cup each day.

I remember all the ports that the Kitty Hawk went to for that underway.  First, we went to Hong Kong.  Hong Kong was an unusual port, because the carrier cannot pull in to Hong Kong.  So, we had to take liberty boats.  Which meant the ship was anchored out.

The next port we went to was Busan, Korea.  Of course, South Korea was unique, because for the Kitty Hawk, South Korea was a working port.  But I remember going to the Outback in Busan.  I cannot remember what I ate.  I think I also had Tiger Beer for the first time.  Anyone who has had Tiger Beer knows what Tiger Beer is.  I still can picture being on duty while we were pierside in Busan.  I still can see the brow of the ship.  They had to move the brow for some reason.  Or, wandering around Texas Street.  I wondered, "Why is it called Texas Street"?  I did not see much that made me think of Texas.  I remember the mink blankets that were sold.  Or going to the army base, and trying to talk down a vendor for his mink blanket.

After that, i remember going to Singapore.  At Singapore is a small Navy base.  So, we went there and did laundry.  I remember laundry being a big deal.  They even had pierside laundry services.  Each port was stocked with exactly what we needed.

The next port we hit was Perth, Australia.  But we pulled into Freemantle.  That was on the west coast of the country, and on the Indian Ocean.

Well, here I am blogging and I need to get ready for work.

Completing This Post

I saw this unfinished post from October 30, 2024.  So, I decided to finish it.  I cannot remember what it was going to be about!  So, I will do my best, to put a complete thought.  I am at work right now, too!  Maybe I should not be posting- oh, well. I am not even sure how to share an image here!  But maybe that is ok.  Normally, on this blog I share an image, or a video, or music.  Mostly from YouTube, because I like the platform and have supported it in the past.  But now it is not allowing me to share here, from YouTube.   Anyways, I am sitting in my car.  All day it's been raining off and on.  I guess there is flooding at this time in part of Texas known as "The Hill" Country.  At a camp, some girls were killed in the flooding!  They have received historic amounts of water. I have been researching about something known as "Epic City", it is a "Master planned" city, with Sharia Law at its root!  Sh...

In the Last Days Jesus Said: 'No Flesh Would be Saved'.... But Why?

This video is over a week old, but it is under 20 minutes long.  About Artificial Intelligence and something else- Transhumanism. Be aware of what is out there.  Don't be a sheep.  "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples" (John 8:31). This video is a brief disection of different sources on AI, and Transhumanism.  In it, the author "Watchman" contrasts it with Frankenstein.  Meanwhile, Watchman takes a look at the scripture in Luke, where Jesus describes the "End Times".  The shortening of the days, for the elect's sake.  This video will give you a "big picture" understanding of what is involved in Transhumanism in a way that you have not viewed it yet.  It is good, and as I said brief.  Grab some popcorn, sit back, and prepare to be informed.

COVID 19 Pandemic

The Pandemic started earlier than people realize.  Although the lockdown began on March 13, 2019.  The Pandemic began in December 2019.  Hence the name, COVID-19.  The pandemic is still going on.  Here in Texas, the Governor has removed the mask requirement at the state level.  But at the local level some mask mandates are still on going.  Image provided by dshs.texas.gov At Albertsons where I work.  They still require a mask.  Unless someone is vaccinated.  We are required to test for COVID prior to work at a kiosk.  Once we have the test from the kiosk, the kiosk prints off a picture of the person.  Then, you are required to wear a mask.
