I worked from 2:45 PM to 7:45 PM. I went in, and learned masks will be required of even the vaccinated. This is an expected development. Hence why I continued to wear my mask. To social distance. Eventually, a time will come when it will lo longer be time to wear a mask and social distance. But right now, that is the way of things. All I did today was gather carts, and sweep the side walk. I need to get in there and start bagging. After all, that is a part of my job. I helped a couple customers with groceries though.
I just took out the garbage. Garbage here on my street is Tuesday, and Friday. That means setting out the trash on Monday Night and Thursday night. Also, on Thursday night the recycle goes out as well. Not to interesting. But it does set myself a good reminder.
What is interesting is that my brother William handed me a copy of Mapping America: Exploring the Continent. I had heard of this book in school. It is a much needed addition to my list of history and geography books. Thanks Mom! Mom says she thought I would enjoy it. The first chapter is marked, "America-- the future of mapping since 1507" by Frank Jacobs. The introduction delves into Lester John, terra incognita, and Marco Polo. Then, goes into describe how Columbus landed on an unknown continent. That the European empires were taken by surprise by the discovery, in such, that they rapidly hired soldiers, explorers, and mapmakers to help forge their empires and as the book said, "close the vacuum".

I checked on Yahoo. Not much of interest on there. The free news source is letting me down. Well, thats ok, I can pick back up with Yahoo tomorrow. I did see one news story claim that Conservatives in Florida are rushing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Other than that, it looks like Yahoo is safe for another day. Well, time for me to log off for a while. Hope you have had a good day.
