The Storm Outside

 Today, I worked as a Courtesy clerk.  I worked from 10 PM to 5:45 PM.  I mostly gathered carts, did trashes on the Front End, and did returns, or go backs.  I had a lunch.  I used lunch to purchase a deli sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and a pack of cigarettes.  Then, after that, a thunderstorm began.  

At first the sky threatened rain.  Then, by 4:30 PM it began to rain.  Then, there was lightening and thunder.  According to my Dad it rained "3 inches" in North Texas.  There was more than one storm in the area.

After I got off work, I came home and tried to let Max out.  But he did not want to go out.  I had to be patient with him.  So, I went ahead and let him stay in, prepared to clean the mess up.  But so far, Max has done fine.

I made coffee.  I did not think much more of the storm.  I lay down while my coffee brewed.  As I lay down, I closed my eyes, but was awoken by a flash of lightening, and loud thunder.  The thunder vibrated the house, and set off car alarms.  Max jumped off the bed.  Silly dog.  Well, I realized my coffee had brewed so, I went and poured myself a cup of hot coffee.  Somehow, the power stayed on.

Apparently, with the Delta variant of COVID, the government is planning more shutdowns.  Mask mandates are coming back.  Also, a vaccine mandate is being threatened.  A large number of people must be refusing the vaccine.  I am refusing the vaccine.  For personal reasons, I am not going to take the vaccine.  Trump was actually the one who released the vaccine.  Trump even got his vaccine.  So, I do not think it is the "mark of the beast", though it is being treated like one at the moment.  They want "vaccine passports".  

I was able to take my medicine.  It finally showed up.  It took a while to get here.  But I have all of my medicine, and I continue to take it.  It is frustrating to take the medicine.  What frustrates me the most, is when I run out.  Also I have a co-pay on limited income.  But so far my parents have each paid a co-pay and my Mom is offering to pay another one.  So, I need to keep that in mind.

I saw several fascinating YouTube videos today.  So, I shared some of them here on my blog.  The ones i did not share are from producers of content who I am not familiar with.  I make sure to share what I find, especially when I am gleaning any History. 

Gleaning.  That is what I have found.  is that with History, I am able to glean people's History and they may not even realize this.  In the back of a FedEx trailer, is where I first experienced this sensation, or a feeling.  Not sure.  Maybe an interest?  Then, it happened at Albertsons as well.  So, I hope to complete my studies in History.  Maybe my gleaning will help me with my studies better.  I use the term gleaning because I do not know a better term to describe what I experienced at FedEx and again later at Albertsons.  Infact, I think the gleaning may have happened in random conversations as well.  Some I barely remember.  Ah.  I should have had a notebook to write down the history. 

 Here is some water my brother used on his trip.  I was impressed, I wonder where he bought it.  Probably Wal-Mart.  That is a lot of water to drink.  I decided to share this image, because sharing images makes it easier to share my blog.  So, what I found interesting about this water, here?  Is how it seemed to randomly show up after my brother had already left again.  Well, what can I say, this water container has seen more of the country than I have.

This video was shared by Brandi Watson over in the Trump 2021 group on Facebook.  The Governor of Florida is empowering parents to decide whether there children will wear masks or not.

Meanwhile, in Florida according to a Yahoo News story, cases in Florida are on the rise again.  This time hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are hitting a new record.  According to Yahoo News! Florida hit record hospitalizations on July, 23 2020.   The governor is disregarding the CDC and state officials to in allowing parents to decide whether their children wear masks to school or not.  Clearly, there is a concerted effort on the part of the democrats to focus on Florida.  They may be planning to try and flip Florida by making Gov. DeSantis appear inept at fighting COVID-19.  In 2021, Mr. DeSantis looks set to run for President in 2024, or later perhaps.  He is taking a firm stand for the rights of parents, in the state of Florida.  This happens, just as the Justice Department sues Texas over Governor Abbott's executive order forbidding the transportation of migrants through Texas.  So, two states are now at odds with the Federal Government.  One regarding masks in schools, and the other on handling the flow of migrants over the Southern Border.  

After working as a Courtesy Clerk, I was taken by surprise by the thunderstorm.  Because of an increase in COVID cases, the Biden administration has said it wants to follow CDC guidelines and shutdown again.  I glean History, and it messes with me.  I never want to get used to that.  It is amazing, like a hidden ability which was unlocked by school at UTA and TCC.  The governors of Texas and Florida are both on the hot seat with the government now in place.  It is only the first year, and more such things are expected, no doubt.  Well, that is it for my blog.  Have a good night.  God bless.
